I Cling to Hope-Patricia Barrett
I cling to Expect like the decreased autumn tea leaf
Beautifully stained with crimson wounds and jaundiced dread,
Caught with a silver line of spider's web crafted by
Earth's own monster.
I cling to Hope such as the puff of cloud bridging cowboy blue skies Transcending hawk and eagle,
Wanting to embrace almost all on the violet path
Trying to find self-same pleasure.
I cling to Hope such as the trusting kid
Waiting for the one who will bring a umbrella of love
To wrap about shoulders of melting steel and
Silken lace unraveling from the too-long journey.
I actually cling to Desire.
A Aspire to Touch and
A Care to Step
Becomes each of our waltz in syncopated time to Earth's General Equinox An Urge to Breathe and
A Cry for Period
Becomes the dance in hand-held reverie because
All I can perform is say,
" My spouse and i cling to Hope. ”
I actually cling to Desire like a symphony of bluegrass tunes
Lightly ringing through canyon woodlands and American River Dreams, dew-filled with honey and Springtime's morning promise.
The eyes get mine with un-chosen choice,
And all I am able to do can be be Me, the
Dropped autumn leaf, the puff of cloud, and a trusting kid singing The bluegrass melody, I Cling to Hope ~
